Cara Delevingne

"It's not that being in a Burberry campaign, or walking in a Chanel show is nothing. It's just…I know I can do more."

As the proprietor of five and a half million instagram followers and one of the most talked about socialites and public figures this year, Cara Delevingne has a lot to live up to. What makes her so intriguing is undoubtedly the fact that she doesn’t try to. The 21-year-old model, actress, and socialite is comfortable being the silly-face-making, relaxed person that she is, even in front of the press. Her relatable ease paired with her extraordinary lifestyle have launched her into a new kind of stardom, and made her one of the most desirable celebrities in all manners of media.

The inspired model and budding actress is the new face of Burberry’s global fall campaign, along with fellow model and actress Suki Waterhouse and other Burberry regulars Malaika Firth, Callum Ball, Tarun Nijjer, and Oli Green. The dreamy campaign, shot by Mario Testino is featured below (and boy oh boy do we love Burberry all the more..those bags!). However, it would appear that Delevingne’s flair for the dramatic is set to overtake her modeling career.

Delevingne is starring in the final film of Sky Art’s Playhouse Presents “Timeless”, airing this Thursday at 9 pm on UK televsion. It is her first major acting role for television, following her success in a small role in Joe Wright’s film adaptation of Anna Karenina. She plays a young army wife in "Timeless" alongside British name, Sylvia Syms. With only one short preview of the upcoming program, it is easy to see that Delevingne has a sincerity and talent for the craft (see the video below).

The British beauty has much more in store as well-a new film production of the classic tale Peter Pan is in now in filming with Cara as a mermaid, and she has a small role in the upcoming film Tulip Fever, starring Christoph Waltz, Judi Dench, Zach Galifinakis, and Dane DeHaan. We don’t expect this new medium to be a flash in the pan for the young starlet. She expresses her passion for acting in a recent interview with The Guardian: “I knew I was going to have to fight really hard to do it, because I had to prove myself. Most people have that stigma: she's a model, can't act, we don't want you in our movie. People say to me: 'The money's probably not enough, it's not the amount of money you usually get paid.' And I sit there going: 'No, that's not the point, I would pay to do this film because I care about it so much.’”

It’s evident that Delevingne is only just getting started. View a clip from the upcoming “Timeless” below and be sure to keep and eye on her ever-expanding repertoire of talents (including a capsule collection for DKNY, her design debut!).
