Christopher Kane | The Wheel of Color

by Danielle Combs
“The brain works in mysterious ways, things just came to me.”

By no means is Christopher Kane a one-trick-pony—in fact, as time goes on his collections continue to evolve into utterly unique fabrications that are mind-bending to a certain degree. With a mind like Kane, it’s no wonder why his clothes are deeply rooted in art and rich color variations: his aesthetic is what differentiates himself from his peers—by sampling manipulating textures, colors, patterns and super-imposed styles. For spring 2016, the train didn’t stop, it kept on going and he continued with neon color strips of fabric melded with delicate lace, holographic coats that couldn’t be missed and multi-colored fringe that blew down the runway. With a mind as imaginative and beautiful as Kane’s it’s no wonder this designer truly cannot be stopped because there is in fact a method to his madness and his color-infused world.
