The Victor of Drama Makes A Bold Debut At Maison Margiela

Before resigning as Creative Director in 2009, Maison Martin Margiela had led his eponymous label for over two decades. For those twenty-one years, the phantom designer ushered in a new, expressionistic wave of design, a movement that christened him a neo-punk, a fashion radical. His modernistic collections and gripping runway shows gave birth to an unadulterated, pure form of utter expression and creativity. Our perceptions of what we knew had been completely stripped away and a new movement had been birthed.

Now, famed designer and comeback kid, John Galliano has taken the reigns at the house of Maison Margiela. Despite his brief backlash from the fashion industry, Galliano has marked the dawn of a new age with his first debut collection at the famed house. He is a true master of vision, passion and unadulterated creations that evoke sheer drama and ingenuity of epic proportions. His first foray as the new creative director of the acclaimed fashion house was met with a grand applause and a triumphant return from the true victor of drama.
